ROSCOE CALEB ROSE Funeral services for longtime Lewis resident Roscoe Caleb Rose will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 15 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Lewis Cemetery. Visitation has been scheduled for Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ertel Chapel. Roscoe was born January 2, 1919 in Beaver, Okla. the son of Edwin and Nora (Trent) Rose. He passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at his son's residence at the age of 93. Roscoe graduated from high school in Kim, Colo. On September 7, 1939, Roscoe married Ruth Mary McNay in Hemingford, Neb. The couple shared 56 years of marriage before Ruth's passing in 1995. Roscoe enjoyed being outdoors while hunting and collecting treasures. Time spent with his grandchildren brought Roscoe's life much happiness. Surviving Roscoe are his children, Dale Rose and wife, Linda of Phoenix, Ariz., Billy Rose and wife, Carolyn of Lewis, Lloyd Rose and wife, Liddie of Cortez, and Mary Horn and husband, Tom of Vancouver, Wash. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren, Carol Rose of Payson, Ariz., Shane Rose of Carmel, Ind., Tari Rose of Palmetto, Fla., LaDawn Watkins of Lewis, Wesley Rose of Lewis, Evan Rose of Cahone, Christine Gresh of Vancouver, Wash., Kalen Rose of Yellow Jacket, and Patrick Gresh of Portland, Ore.; five great-grandchildren, Michael, Skyler, Jackson, McKenzie and Baylie; and by his brothers, James and Paul Rose. Also surviving Roscoe is his brother-in-law and wife, Bob and Hope McNay of Whittier, Calif. Roscoe was preceded in death by his parents; by his wife, Ruth Rose; and by his siblings, Edwina, Boyd, Leora, and Virginia.
