ROBERTA LOUISE "BOBBIE" LARGENT Memorial services for longtime Cahone resident Roberta Louise "Bobbie" Largent will be held at the Cahone Senior Center on Saturday, November 2 at 3 p.m. Bobbie was born May 20, 1926 in Hemet, Calif. the daughter of Robert Truett and Alfreda Louise (Holley) Wommack. She passed away at Vista Grande Inn on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at the age of 87. On November 12, 1944 in San Francisco, Calif., Bobbie married James Wilson Largent and they shared almost 59 years of marriage before his death in 2003. Bobbie attended and graduated from Horace Mann Grammar School, Jefferson Jr. High, and Wilson High School in California. She was a member of and very involved in the Cahone Recreation Hall and Senior Center. Bobbie also served on the Dove Creek Library Board. She enjoyed studying genealogy, cooking for family gatherings, and polka dancing. Bobbie loved to travel on cruise ships and was a huge Bronco fan. Family was very important to Bobbie and spending time with them was what brought her the most enjoyment. Surviving Bobbie are her children, Susan Sims and husband, Kelly of California, Donna Copeland and husband, Jon of Denver, Jim Largent and wife, Kate of Bayfield, Larry Largent and wife, Karen of Rio Rancho, N.M., Jaclynn Thoes of Cahone, and Randy Wilson and wife, Kelly of Spring Creek, Nev.; extended family member, Ron Thoes; 21 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and many friends. Preceding her in death are her parents, Robert and Alfreda Wommack; and her husband, James Largent. Memorial contributions can be made to Cahone Recreation Hall and Senior Center.
