ROBERT THOMAS “BOB” WOYEWODZIC Funeral Mass for longtime area resident, Robert Thomas “Bob” Woyewodzic will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 21 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Father Derrek D. Scott will officiate. Rosary services will be held Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Graveside services for Bob will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 24 at the Georgetown Cemetery in Pottsboro, Texas with Deacon Gary Vogel officiating. Vigil Service will be held Sunday evening at 7 p.m. at Johnson Moore Chapel in Pottsboro. Bob was born December 29, 1948 in Denison, Texas the son of Edwin Joseph and Marie Louise (Bruno) Woyewodzic. He passed away October 17, 2005 near Sweetwater, N.M. at the age of 56. January 3, 1969 in Pottsboro, Texas Bob married JoAnn Pearson. A dedicated and devoted family man, Bob held a deep love for his family. His only granddaughter, Samantha, was his pride and joy, loving her beyond belief. Bob spent 28 years in wildlife biology and wildland firefighting with the Bureau of Land Management and Forest Service. He was awarded Wildlife Biologist of the Year for the State of Utah. Bob was a member of Range Management Society and was active in St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Serving his community for numerous years, Bob was a volunteer fireman with the Cortez Volunteer Fire Department. In his free time he enjoyed practicing Shotokan Karate. Surviving Bob are his wife of 36 years, JoAnn Woyewodzic of Lewis, Colo.; his children, Christopher Woyewodzic of San Diego, Calif., Robin Duran and husband, Mark of Cortez, Kelly Woyewodzic of San Francisco, Calif., and Steven Azar of San Francisco, Calif., granddaughter, Samantha Woyewodzic-Duran of Cortez; and his brother, Edwin J. Woyewodzic Jr. Bob was the son-in-law of Ladora Pearson of Pottsboro, Texas and the late Sam Pearson, Jr. Preceding Bob in death were his parents; and his uncle, Frank Woyewodzic in September 2003.
