Robert Schuster

Robert (Bob) Schuster went home to be with his Lord on February 14, 2024 at the age of 81.Bob was born on May 6, 1942 to John and Ora Mae Schuster in Berkley, California.  

He met his lovely wife Diana in high school, they were married for 61 years.  They had 5 children: Chuck, Aaron, Dan, Jennelle and Lori.  Between his children, he had 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

In the 1960’s Bob came out to Colorado to hunt and fell in love with it.  He always told us that he decided to move us here when they put a stop light in our town.   He loved the rural life and everything it had to offer.  He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing and exploring out behind his property.

Bob truly enjoyed connecting with people.  The last few years he drove around town or tracked them down by phone to visit with them.

Bob was a Master Plumber for most of his life and a farmer for the last 50 years.  He met so many people through his profession and could recall almost every house he had worked on as we were driving down the road.

He is survived by his 2 sisters, June and Faith, as well as a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Butch.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024.   It will be at the Annex Building (107 N Chestnut St) in Cortez at 11:00 a.m.
