Robert Roy Klinker

ROBERT ROY KLINKER Robert Roy Klinker, was born on September 30, 1941 in Chicago, Ill. the son of Al and Vera (Archabauldt) Klinker. He passed away at his home outside of Mancos on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at the age of 66. On May 10, 1986 Bob married Jane Elizabeth Jenkins in Anaheim, Calif. They enjoyed 21 years of marriage before Jane's death last year. After coming to the Mancos Valley on vacation, Bob and Jane fell in love with the area and made a permanent move here in 1997. Their new Mancos neighbors became like a second family to the Klinkers. Bob spent 33 years working for the Lucky Stores in Orange County, Calif. He loved to fish and hunt, but most especially he loved time spent with family at his vacation home in Big River, Calif. on the Colorado River. Surviving Bob are his daughters, Bonnie Geary and husband, David of Canyon Lake, Calif. and Pam Evans and husband, Chris also of Canyon Lake, Calif.; three grandchildren; his brother, Ron Klinker; by his sister, Jackie Henman both of Orange, Calif.; and his step-children, Maryjane Kopp and husband, Chris of Green Cove Springs, Flor., and Richard Hickman and wife, Kimbra of Round Rock, Tex. Cremation has taken place with inurnment services to take place at Fairhaven Orange County Cemetery in Santa Anna, Calif.
