Robert Rockwell Graham was born January 26, 1938 in Denver, CO the son of George Albert Graham and Lucy Ellen (Shaffer) Moran. He passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at his home in Dolores, CO at the age of 82.
Robert grew up in Breckenridge, CO before it became a ski area. He was a heavy equipment mechanic by trade, but he was a genius at fixing anything mechanical, or turning it into something new and useable. He built several working steam engines from recycled materials and in retirement built several large 7 1/2” gauge trains to ride on tracks around his property. Robert also enjoyed gold panning and foundry work, manufacturing the wheels and other parts for his trains from scrap aluminum then machining them to specifications.
Surviving Robert are his wife of 39 years, Charmane Graham of Dolores, CO; daughters, Roberta Ann Ratliff of Mancos, CO, and Lucy Ellen Madden (Brian) of Springtown, TX; step-daughter, Susan Smith of Casa Grande, AZ; step-son, Kenneth Dodge (Lorna) of Casa Grande, AZ; grandchildren, David Reed, Brandy Ratliff, Athenea Negron (George), Cydni Kelly (derrick), Kyle Madden; step-grandchildren, Erin Kettering (James), Kristin Morgan (Philip); great grandchildren, Morgan Lujan, Matthew Lujan, Nichole Lujan, Pandora Lujan, Aiden Lujan, Sean Negron; and step-great grandchildren, RJ Bordeaux, Michael Kettering, Hunter Kettering, Corey Morgan, and Amanda Morgan. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; son, James Graham; sister, Rhoda Vallee; granddaughter, Aubrey Madden; and great granddaughter, Annabelle Negron.
