Robert Tobe Holliday (John) passed away on December 12 in Cortez, Colorado. He was born on January 27, 1936, In Pinedale, Arizona to Tobe and Veda Marshall Holliday. He grew up with his father and family, following various logging jobs in Colorado, Utah, and Arizona. His parents decided to buy a farm near Dolores, Colorado, so the children could stay in the same place for their schooling. His dad continued to split his time between working different logging jobs and their home on the farm.
John married Maureen Lyman in 1956. They were later divorced. They had three sons, Randy Tobe (deceased), Robert Tye, and Kip Lloyd.He then met and married Myra Slade. They bought a Ranch at Transfer, Colorado and later purchased a farm near Cortez. John had always wanted to be a cowboy and Myra liked ranching, too. They were later divorced. John met and married Aileene Cooper-Jordan in 2003. They enjoyed working together, ranching and farming until his passing.
John is survived by his wife, Aileene, son, Tye, and wife An’drea, son, Kip and wife Laura, and stepson, Bill Jordan, grandson, Tobe, a brother, Bill, and sister, Ann Perkins. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Charles, sister, Ida, son, Randy Tobe, and granddaughter. Kashanna Dea.
John loved running the log loader, driving his log truck, cutting hay, and taking care of the cows. He was always concerned for others and a hard worker with a great sense of humor. He is loved and missed by many.
