Robert Gordon "Bob" Squires

Robert (Bob) Squires, born December 2, 1936, passed away April 13, 2018. An avid outdoorsman (hunter, trapper, etc.), after 51 years in Minnesota, he moved to Cortez in 1989 to follow his dreams (as described by Louis L'Amour). He loved life in Colorado and enjoyed 16 years as a deputy for the Montezuma County Sheriff's Department, retiring in 2007. He will be dearly missed by his family, pets and many friends. Bob was preceded in death by daughters Kristin Squires Conner and Amy Squires, sisters Beverly (Jerry) Stumpf and Jeanne (Sam) Stocco and by his parents, Gordon and Stella Squires. He is survived by his wife Anita, daughters Laurie Bovee, Rockford, MN and Jennifer Squires, Cortez, and grandchildren Jessica (Mike) Guzman, Paul and Nick (Angel) Squires, Angela,and Jordan Bovee, Samantha and Patrick Angell and brothers Howard (Suzanne) Squires of Orford, NH and Joe (Lynn) Squires, Clinton, MT.
