ROBERT GEORGE "BOB" JASLOWSKI Funeral services for Cortez resident Robert George "Bob" Jaslowski will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 24 at the Cortez Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Empire Street Chapel. Bishop Tim Lanier will officiate. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Peel Cemetery. Visitation has been scheduled for Sunday, February 23 from 35 p.m. at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Bob was born September 30, 1946 in Seattle, Wash. the son of John and Delores Melba (Erickson) Jaslowski. He passed away in Durango, Colo. on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the age of 67. On September 3, 1977 in Butte, Mont., Bob married Sybil Rae Wilson. Their marriage was sealed at the Idaho Falls Temple in 1979. Bob was very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He worked at the Ute Mountain Casino for 18 years. Family meant everything to Bob and he will be greatly missed. Surviving Bob is his wife of 36 years, Sybil Jaslowski of Cortez; his children, Sabrina Elliott and husband, Jason of Cortez, Nica Vrtako and husband, Mike of Cortez, Jeremy Jaslowski of Flagstaff, Ariz., Sheila Jaslowski of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Tanya Jaslowski of Cortez; his grandchildren, Keandra Elliott, Jadon Elliott, Clayton Elliott, Siana Elliott, Micha Vrtako, Reiley Vrtako, and Wyatt Styer-Jaslowski; and his brother, Dick Jaslowski and wife, Ruth of Renton, Wash. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Delores Jaslowski. Memorial contributions can be made to Southwest Open High School.
