Robert Andrew Kratynski

Robert Andrew Kratynski, B O B, as he often referred to himself, was born on November 10, 1936 in Long Branch, New Jersey to George Joseph Kratynski and Emily Helena Bobois. His parents immigrated from Poland before they were adults.
Bob had three older siblings, a brother, George and two sisters, Florence and Margaret. At the age of two, Bob was placed into an orphanage for ten years because his mother was ill. He lived with his older siblings for a short time then he ran away around the age of 12 or 13. It is unknown if he attended school after that time. As a young man Bob worked at rodeos and rode saddle broncs. In the mid 1950’s he enlisted into the army and was honorably discharged after serving three years. In the early 1960’s Robert married Mavis Jeanne Manning. Three daughters were born to this union, Emily Odessa, Margaret Evelen and Georgia Jeanne Ann. In 1969 Robert moved to Wyoming where he was cowboying and tended sheep. In 1971, Bob and Mavis were divorced. This was Bob’s only known marriage. In 1991 Bob moved back to Cortez where he worked in maintenance at the hospital and Wofford ranch for less than a year. He returned to Wyoming for 15 years. In 2006, Robert returned to Cortez where he lived until he passed away on June 25, 2021. Robert enjoyed collecting coins and working on getting his GED. We all know how much Bob loved Jesus! He is with him now!
Robert Andrew Kratynski is survived by his three daughters, Emily Wofford (Mike Wofford), Margaret Leeder (Matt Leeder) and Georgia Stanley (Gary Stanley); nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; his sister, Margaret Sheehy; as well as many nieces, nephews and their families.
There will be A Celebration of Life for Bob on Sunday July 18, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Evangel Assembly of God Church, 209 W. 5th Street, Cortez 81321.
