RICHARD LOREN “DICK” SELL Memorial services for Cortez resident Richard Loren “Dick” Sell will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 27 at the Trinity Lutheran Church. A reception will follow the service at the church. Dick was born on February 7, 1930 in St. Paul, Minn., the son of Walter and Lydia (Goetzke) Sell. He passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at the age of 76. Dick married Marjorie Alice Viola Laatsch on September 24, 1949 in St. Paul, Minn. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church Men’s Club and the Thoroughbred Horse Owners Association. Dick enjoyed every aspect of nature. Whether he was out driving to “see the sights” or hunting and fishing, Dick was a happy man. He also got great pleasure out of raising horses. Surviving Dick are his wife of 57 years, Marjorie Sell of Cortez; his children, Jeff Marsell and wife, Ana of Los Angeles, Calif., and Rebecca Sell of Hot Springs, Ark.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made in Dick’s memory to the Trinity Lutheran Church.
