RICHARD GEORGE “RICKY” RUCKER Memorial services for Cortez resident Richard George “Ricky” Rucker will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 2 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Pastor Matt Segebartt will officiate. The son of Milton Lee and Blanch (Mowry) Rucker, Ricky was born on April 18, 1948 in Telluride, Colo. He passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2006 at his residence at the age of 58. In 1989, Ricky married Jane Rodriguez in San Antonio, Tex. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching football. Surviving Ricky are his wife, Jane Rucker of Cortez; his sons, Jeremé Rucker of Silverton, Colo., and Phillip Rucker and wife, Tracy of Cortez; and his step-sons, Paul Rodriguez of Kentucky, Joel Rodriguez and wife, Christa of Nashville, Tenn., and Silas Rodriguez of Texas. He also leaves behind his siblings, Bob Rucker and wife, Lorna of Redding, Calif., Dave Rucker and wife, Joann of Cortez, and Brenda Williams and husband, Danny of Del Rio, Tex.; and his six grandchildren. Ricky was loved greatly and will be missed by his two cats, Samantha and Sammy. He was preceded in death by his parents.
