RICHARD EARL “RICK” JAMES JR. Funeral services for Mancos and Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio resident Richard Earl “Rick” James Jr. will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 13 at Johnson Romito Funeral Home in Hudson, Ohio. Interment will take place at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Pennisula, Ohio. Viewing has been scheduled for Friday, August 12 from 4 to 8 p.m. also at Johnson Romito Funeral Home. His family is requesting casual dress or Harley-Davidson attire for all services to celebrate the life that Rick loved. Rick was born on September 2, 1956 in Akron, Ohio to Richard Earl James Sr. and Anita Odell (Davison) James. He passed away on Friday, August 5, 2011 in a motorcycle accident. Rick had fought a lifelong battle with Crohn’s disease. Rick was 1975 graduate of Woodridge High School, a member of Teamsters Local 436, a driver for PPG Industries, served time as Woodridge’s Booster Club President, and was a Woodridge Recreational softball coach. Surviving Rick are his loving wife of 31 years, Cindy James of Mancos; his parents, Richard “Joe” and Anita James of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; his children, Rachelle Schoolcraft and husband, Chris, and Jeremy James and wife, Shaunna, all of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; his siblings, Russ James and wife, Wanda of Cleveland, Ohio, David James and wife, Charlotte of Texas, Joni James of Akron, Ohio, Stephen James and wife, Linda of Ravenna, Ohio, Cindy Carrell and husband, Ron of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Dean Brinkman of Florida, Deanna Jennings and husband, Scott of Ill., Shannon Bouck and wife Candy, of Illinois; special friends, Joe, Greg, Dave, Bill, Lee, Ronnie, Pam, Natalie, Martha, Melanie, Sandy, and Marion; his beautiful grandchildren Chad and Leah Schoolcraft who were the light of his life; and numerous nieces and nephews and “kids” at Mesa Verde. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that contributions may be made to the Crohn’s Colitis Foundation, 386 Park Ave. South, 17th Floor, New York, NY 10016.
