A Long-time resident of Dolores & Lewis, CO., Richard (Dick) Harold Wilson was born on October 5, 1939, in Sheridan, MI. He was the only child of Harold & Virginia Wilson, both deceased. Richard passed on October 26, 2024, in Cortez.
Richard attended school & graduated from Sheridan. He married his high school sweetheart Judith Ressiguie, on December 24, 1958. Their first child Debbie (Wilson) Snead, was born December 11, 1959, and their second child Michael was born October 13, 1961, but passed on December 15, 1961. In November 1963, the family moved to Colorado to build pop-up campers, where they lived in a warehouse south of Cortez. Over the years they lived in several different areas of the community until settling in a small farmhouse in Lebanon.
Richard was divorced in 1991 and married Carol (Uptain) Beals in 1992 and moved to Lewis. Carol passed in 2022. Richard had several occupations including working at the old plywood plant in the 70’s, the Chevron Bulk plant in the 80’s, and driving school bus in the 90’s. He was quite popular as “Gus the Bus” and enjoyed taking the Sport Teams and Band on their trips. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, waterskiing & snowmobiling. He loved spending time with his family, traveling to Grand Junction & Phoenix to see his grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
Richard is survived by his daughter Debbie (Mark) Snead; Grandson Sam (Dejah) Snead & their children, Nick, Leland, Kayla & Xavier; his first wife Judith Wilson; and Carol's children, Gina Marriott (Randy) of Mesa, AZ, Teresa Clark (Les) of College Station, TX, Stacey Corbin (Craig) of Chandler, AZ, Dusty Beals (Radiance) of Hesperus, CO; 9 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, his 2nd wife & his grandson Nicholas Adam.
