Reyes Michael Mckensley

REYES MICHAEL McKENSLEY Funeral services for Towaoc resident, Reyes Michael McKensley, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 9 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Towaoc Cemetery. Reverend Bud Rousset will officiate. Reyes was born on June 4, 1988 in Shiprock, N.M. to Neilson McKensley and Shelley R. Eyetoo. He passed away at his Towaoc home on Sunday, May 3, 2015. Reyes was 26 years old. A 2006 graduate of MCHS, Reyes was very musical and loved playing the guitar for his personal satisfaction and for anyone that wanted to listen. He also had an artistic side; he enjoyed drawing and was currently learning to tattoo. Surviving Reyes are his mother, Shelley Eyetoo of Towaoc; his father, Neilson McKensley; daughter, Kyrie McKensley of Towaoc; grandmothers, Shirley Eyetoo of Towaoc, Stella Eyetoo and Adeline Eyetoo both of White Mesa, Utah, and Nellie McKensley of Shiprock, N.M.; and great grandmother, Marion Begay of Teec Nos Pos, Ariz. Also surviving Reyes are Eric Eyetoo and wife, Ruby of Cortez, Zack McKensley of Towaoc, Aaron Eyetoo and wife, Judy of Towaoc, Vince Mirabal and wife, Julia of Ignacio, Colo., and Lionel Collins of Towaoc; by aunts, Leona Collins of Towaoc, Marilyn McKensley, Marianette McKensley and Michelle McKensley all of Shiprock; and by numerous brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles and cousins. Reyes was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond Eyetoo, Elizabeth Eyetoo, and Ned McKensley; and great grandparents, Todacheeny Begay, and Calvin and Pearl Coolidge.
