Rex Ira Vickers

Rex Ira Vickers was born August 3, 1938 in Yampa, CO, the son of Ernest Lee and Chloe (Balentine) Vickers. He passed away on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Vista Grand Inn at the age of 79. Surviving Rex are his children, Larry D. Vickers (Debbie) of CA, Debbie L. Hogan (Joe) of Yuma, AZ, and Danny R. Vickers (Lynette) of CA; his sister, Erma VanHaren of Yuma, AZ; his grandchildren, Alissa Ripan of CA, Shanna, Nichole and Gigi Hogan of Yuma, AZ, Danny Jr., Amanda and Melissa of CA; six great grandchildren; his everything, Bobbie Hunter; and his precious little Britches. Preceding him in death are his parents; and his sister, Charlene Madge Vickers. Rex loved to travel and meet people. Anyone who met him loved his manners and sense of humor. He beat lung cancer and was 8 years free. But COPD and heart disease kept him from doing what he loved. He loved Cortez and no matter where he traveled, he always came back here. He will be missed. At his request, no services will be held. Rest in peace my friend. You are now free to breathe and enjoy the heavens with family and great friends. God has blessed you.
