Rayma "Charlie" Percell

RAYMA “CHARLIE” PERCELL Funeral services for Bluff, Utah resident Rayma “Charlie” Percell will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 18 at the Lewis Arriola Community Center. Interment will follow at Arriola Cemetery. Rayma was born on April 8, 1939 in Rocky Ford, Colo. the daughter of Tom and Helen Frances (Nichols) Barbee. She passed away on Sunday, December 13 at Blue Mountain Hospital in Blanding, Utah at the age of 70 after a short battle with pneumonia. Rayma’s first few years were spent in Rocky Ford where she started school at Washington Elementary. The family moved to the Western Slope in 1951 and Charlie then went on to attend school in Dolores. She graduated in 1957 from Dolores High School. Rayma loved to travel and did so in the later years. Her love of flowers and her pride in her home and lawn was evident. Surviving Rayma are her husband, Galen Headley of Bluff, Utah; her daughter, Diana Lynn Lohman and Tim Cummings of Cortez; her son, Stanley Dean Percell of Moab, Utah; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and two on the way; and her mother, Helen Barbee of Dolores. Rayma also leaves behind her sister, Gayle Gardner and husband, Grady of Dolores; her brother, Robert Barbee of Dolores; her four step-children, Michael G. Headley and wife, Jackie of Weldona, Colo., Lynn A. Golemboski and husband, Ed of Hillrose, Colo., Daniel D. Headley, and Pamela Yearous and husband, Mike all of Denver; 17 step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren, and two on the way. Rayma was preceded in death by her father, Tom Barbee in 1989; and by her older brother, James in 1996. Memorial contributions may be made in Rayma’s name to San Juan Medical Foundation, P.O. Box 110 Farmington, N.M. 87499.
