On May 20, 2015, two blessed servants of God, Ray Wilson Goss and Mary Jane Goss of Dolores, Colorado, went home to be with their Lord. Born April 22, 1935, Ray was the son of the late John P. Goss and Emma S. Shuttlesworth Goss. He was preceded in death by his older brother, P. Richard (Dick) Goss of Lewistown, PA. Born November 23, 1936, Jane was the daughter of the late George A. Ross and Sara L. Shannon Ross. She is survived by one sister, Betty Lou Ross Drugg of Altoona, PA. Surviving are 4 children, 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Surviving children include, Vicki L. Goss Karschner, wife of Patrick C. Karschner of Superior, CO; Jeffrey R. Goss, husband of Barbara Demaree Goss of Tulsa, OK; Michael A. Goss, husband of Kristen Nielsen Goss of State College, PA; and Amy J. Goss Parlin of Harrisburg, PA. They were preceded in death by one child, Steven Ray Goss, late husband of Karen Goss of Murfreesboro, TN. Ray was a graduate of Lewistown High School and Altoona Bible Institute. Proudly serving his country, Ray was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Navy. After his retirement from the Pennsylvania Electric Company (Penelec), Ray was employed as Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church in Bellefonte, PA. Jane was also a graduate of Lewistown High School. Later she was employed by the Lewistown Hospital and Calvary Bible Church in Lewistown, PA. Together, Ray and Jane served as missionaries with United Indian Mission of Glendale, AZ, for nine years and Christian Discipleship Center (CDC) in Cortez, CO, for 8 years. As a couple, they accepted the responsibility to disciple and train others to spread the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. A Memorial service will be held at Arriola Bible Church, 15998 Road 22, Dolores, CO, on Friday, June 19 at 3:00 PM. In memory of Ray & Jane, the family requests that donations be made to Christian Discipleship Center (CDC), 24826 Road L, Cortez, CO 81321 http://c-d-c.org and designated: "Men's Scholarship Fund".
