Randon was born on May 20, 1980 in Durango the son of Bobby Gene and Vicki Dianne (Baskett) Archibeque. He passed away on Friday, December 12, 2014 at his home in Hobbs, N.M. at the age of 34. Throughout his life, Randon had tremendous influence on others, including his family, friends, students, and coworkers. He loved his family, and was especially close to his brothers. He grew up in Cortez, during which time he was surrounded by his extended family. This had a huge impact on his life. He was a loving and kind person who had many friends throughout his life. He spent his early years and attended elementary school in Mancos, then moved to Cortez during his junior high and high school years. After high school, he attended Dixie State College and Mesa State College where he earned a Bachelor's degree in education. He then used that degree to teach and coach in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. Randon was a very driven young man who desired perfection in all of his endeavors. God blessed him with many talents, which allowed him to accomplish the goals he set throughout his life. Randon had a passion for athletics that started at a very young age. This commitment and dedication allowed him to pursue and reach so many of his goals. Randon recently moved to Hobbs, New Mexico to accept a science teaching position. He quickly felt at home by building new relationships with everyone he came in contact with, including fellow teachers, administrators, students, and even his neighbors. While in Hobbs, he also instantly connected with a Christian community. He will be loved and missed by the people he met there. His untimely passing has left such a hole is our hearts, but we trust in God's infinite wisdom and His plan for Randon. We love you Randon! Surviving Randon are his parents, Bobby and Vicki Archibeque of Cortez; his daughter, Amy Kaitlyn; grandparents, Ted and Barbara Baskett of Dolores; grandfather, Ben Archibeque of Mancos; brothers, Kirk Archibeque and wife Mandi of Antwerp, Belgium, and Jacob Archibeque and wife, Rikkilynn of Phoenix, Ariz.; and his niece, Leah Faith Archibeque.
