RAMONA LARA SILAS-GOMEZ

  Funeral services for Ramona Lara Silas-Gomez will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Cortez Elks Lodge.

  Ramona was born September 5, 1974 in Shiprock, N.M. and she passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at the age of 49.

  Ramona is survived by her husband, Joseph Gomez of Cortez along with a large and loving family all from Cortez. She was the eldest of her eight siblings and grew up in Cortez, Colo. Ramona loved her nieces and nephews with all of her heart, they were like her own kids. She also raised her siblings to help her parents. Ramona had such a big heart and helped everyone she could. She was preceded in death by her two younger sisters, Rophena Silas Sanchez and Roletta Silas.
