PRESSIE J. BREWER Funeral Mass for Pressie J. Brewer, a longtime resident of Cortez will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 29 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. Visitation has been set for Monday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ertel Memorial Chapel. A Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. Pressie was born July 19, 1933 in McPhee, Colo. the daughter of Jose E. and Bernice (Sanchez) Jaramillo. She passed away at her home in Cortez on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at the age of 74. Pressie attended school through the 10th grade at Montezuma-Cortez High School. In 1975, she married Stanley J. Brewer in Las Vegas, Nev. Pressie provided wonderful care and love to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Being with her family brought her much happiness. Surviving Pressie are her husband, Stanley Brewer of Cortez; and her children, Andy Sanchez, Viola Foti, Paul Sanchez, Lonie Sanchez, Heather Brewer, and Cindy Rodriguez. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Priscilla Gentry, Micheal Gentry, Michelle Sanchez, Robbie Sanchez, Rico Sanchez, Isaac Sanchez, Pat Sanchez, Andy Sanchez, and Jeremiah Netherington; her siblings, David Jaramillo and wife Nadawah of Pueblo, Colo., Johnny Jaramillo and wife, Delfa of Farmington, N.M., Crucy Wilson of Cortez, Jane Lobato of Montrose, Colo., and Patty Samora of Cortez; many great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pressie was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Earl Jaramillo and Manuel Jaramillo; and her nephew, Bobby Sanchez.
