PHYLLIS ELAINE WILBER Graveside services for lifelong Cortez resident Phyllis Elaine Wilber will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 7 at Summit Ridge Cemetery. Phyllis was one of ten children born to Tivis and Susan (Johnson) Springmeyer of Terra Bella, Calif. She was born December 19, 1936 and passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Vista Grande Inn at the age of 75. On December 13, 1983 Phyllis married Raymond E. Wilber in Durango. Phyllis was tender, loving, and she cared deeply for her family and friends. She will be loved forever and she will always be in the hearts of her loved ones. Surviving Phyllis are her husband of 28 years, Raymond E. Wilber of Cortez; and her children, Donna Shields and husband, Mike of Cortez, J. "Butch" Bass of Cortez, and Terry Axt and husband, Garry of Pleasant View. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Crystal, Michael, Bryon, and Randy; six great-grandchildren, Jason, Danika, Hailee, Bryce, Jordan and Dayton; by four sisters; and by three brothers. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; and by two brothers. Memorial contributions may be made in Phyllis Wilber's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
