Peggy Joyce Ayers

Peggy Joyce (Carter) Ayers 91 passed away on December 23, 2022 at San Juan Hospital in Monticello, Utah.

She was born July 3, 1931 in Brooking, SD to Alonzo Elsworth Carter and Lillie May (Howe) Carter. She was married to David Wesley Ayers on December 12, 1949 in Florence, AZ. For 73 years they always had kids around, either their own or others. They lived and worked in several places. In 1966 they bought a farm in Egnar, CO and raised their family.

Peggy worked on the farm with Wesley and numerous other jobs in the community.

Survivors are her husband of 73 years David Wesley Ayers; children David C Ayers (Robbie) of Wickenburg, AZ, Dany J. (Bo) Ayers (Cathy) of Egnar, CO, Denny R Ayers (Sharon) of Fort Morgan, CO, Don L Ayers (Cheryl) of Egnar, CO, Barbara J. Ayers Curtis (Emmett) of Egnar, CO and Sandy A Ayers McFarland (Pete) of New Castle, WY; sisters Patsy May Bennett of Prineville, OR and Billie Jean Baskett of Cortez, CO; twenty five grandkids, twenty three great grandkids, nine great-great grandkids and numerous nieces and nephews.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Alonzo Carter and Lillie May Carter; son Thomas H Ayers; three grandsons; brothers John Jay Carter, Robert Carter, Edward Carter, Herbert Carter and Daniel Carter; sisters Mary Elline Carter, Lila Carter and Sally Ann Carter Cannon.

Peggy will be dearly missed by family and friends. For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end. MAY SHE REST IN PEACE.
