PEARLIE MAE MARCOTTE Graveside services for Pearlie Mae Marcotte will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 30 at the Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation has been set for Friday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Pearlie was born on September 22, 1915 in Tucker, Okla. the daughter of Benjamin Harrison and Margarette Sarah (Smith) Gray. She passed away on Monday, June 25, 2007 at Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 91. She had spent the last seven years at Vista Mesa Assisted Living in their loving care. Pearlie loved children and cared for many children in the area in her own home. She was an avid gardener enjoying the flowers and vegetables that she produced. She loved to embroidery, quilt, crafts, cooking and passing her skills on to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Many will remember her from running the laundry in Dolores taking care of their clothes as her own. Surviving Pearlie are her sons, Jackie Joe Kent and wife, Eunice and Herbert Keith Kent and wife, Betty; and her daughters, Thelma Ann Newby and husband, Johnny and Pearlie Mae Chadwick and husband, Mike; and her daughter-in-law, Gloria Kent. 18 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren also survive her. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Jack Kent and Henry Marcotte; her son, Delmer Lee Kent; daughter, Elizabeth Jane Norris; and her siblings, Lena Gray-Hebblethwaith, Herbert Roy Gray, and Ruby Belle Gray-Hartman; and grandson, Rodney Kent. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Pearlie Marcotte with the Alzheimer's Association, 701 Camino Del Rio, Ste. #115 A, Durango, Colo. 81301.
