PAULINE OVERSTREET McCABE Funeral services for Pauline Overstreet McCabe, a longtime Cahone resident, will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Cahone Cemetery. Pauline was born April 3, 1931 in Tucson, Ariz. to Rufus Miller and Dora Elizabeth (Davis) Overstreet. She passed away at her Cahone home on Friday, August 21, 2015. Pauline was 84 years old. On April 27, 1948 Pauline married Herman Ray McCabe, sharing 59 years of marriage before his death in 2007. Always very active with the Cahone Senior Center, Pauline took responsibility in overseeing the running of the center as well as being involved with the Senior Nutrition program. Pauline enjoyed gardening, raising flowers and painting. She enjoyed making her own wine from the grapes she grew. Reading the Scriptures were part of Pauline's daily routine and the time spent gave her much comfort. Surviving Pauline are two sons, Ray McCabe of wife, Renate of Cahone and Ron McCabe and wife, Debbie of Sandy, Utah; four grandchildren, Russell McCabe and wife, Karen, Paulett McCabe, Tony Will, and Tammy Ryan; six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; one sister, Mary Johnson of Tombstone, Ariz.; and two brothers, Jim Overstreet of Hemet, Calif. and John Overstreet of Marana, Ariz. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herman McCabe; and her siblings, Rufus Miller Overstreet Jr., Alma Newell, Edith Price, Ethel Miller, Marie Evans and Gertie Nosich.
