Patty Lou Samora

A Rosary will be held for Patty Lou Samora at St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. A Memorial Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will take place at Arriola Cemetery, where she will be placed next to her husband Raymond. A Memorial Dinner will follow at St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church following the inurnment ceremony. 

Patty was born on March 30th, 1948, to Epemino and Bernice Jaramillo of Cortez. On Dec. 26th Patty passed away peacefully at her home in rural Cortez where she lived with her Granddaughter Katelyn (Cody) Lopez, and her beloved Great Grandchildren Josie and Lincoln.

Patty briefly worked at Woolsworth in Cortez. Patty loved a good homemade meal. She loved to travel (One of her last wishes was to go to the beach which she did this last September with Melissa, Rick, Josie and Lincoln). Patty loved Christmas and the holidays, especially Halloween when she was always playing the trickster. She adored animals but was especially devoted to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Patty was married to Raymond Samora until his passing on Dec 31st, 2011.

Patty is survived by her daughters Melissa (Rick) Applin, Melinda Neighbors, and Veronica Bjorklund. Seven grandchildren and seventeen greatgrandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brothers and sisters.
