Patrick James Lachappelle

It is with great sadness that the family of Patrick James LaChappelle announces his sudden passing on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at the age of 62.
Patrick will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years, Julia Whelihan, his sons, Easton (Hannah) and Cameron (Melanie), 3 granddogs (JoJo, Delilah, and Daisy) and the countless individuals he touched throughout his life. Patrick and Julia were high school sweethearts who began their journey together in Eau Claire, WI, and shared in their adventures across the US, Canada, and the Arctic. Patrick was an incredibly creative person, finding inspiration for his art across all areas of life. His passions included wood carving, painting, stained glass, engraving, among many others. Patrick was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed exploring the San Juan Mountains with family and friends.
Patrick’s purpose in life was to ensure the happiness of everyone around him, bringing love and joy to all. His kindness and generosity will never be forgotten.
A Rosary service will be held on Thursday, December 13th at 6:00 pm, with a memorial service on Friday, December 14th at 10:00 am at St. Rita of Cascia in Mancos, CO.
