PATRICK DANIEL LANCASTER Funeral services for lifelong Cortez resident, Patrick Daniel Lancaster, will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16 at the Lewis Arriola Community Center. Mr. Doug Carver will officiate. Interment will follow at Arriola Cemetery. Visitation has been set for Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. to Noon at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Patrick was born the son of Roy William Lancaster Sr. and Irene Gladis Ester (Passer) Lancaster on March 17, 1977 in Durango, Colo. He passed away at his Cortez home on Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Patrick was 38 years old. A logger at the time, Patrick married Ruth Ann Gray on October 11, 1997 in Cortez. Currently, Patrick was working with his brother at Lancaster Drilling. He was very gifted artistically; he enjoyed making crafts. There was nothing he couldn't do. Patrick also enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hiking. Coming from a very large family Patrick appreciated the importance of time spent together, a lesson that he passed to his own children. Surviving Patrick are his wife of 17 years, Ruthie Lancaster of Cortez; his children, Jonathon Patrick Lancaster, Robin Nicole Lancaster, Amber Leigh Lancaster, Daniel Roy Lancaster, Brook DeAnn Lancaster, and Joseph Dean Lancaster, all of Cortez; his mother Irene Lancaster of Delta, Colo.; siblings, Madonna Fell and spouse, Tim of Panama City, Fla., Theresa Booker and spouse, Jody of Grand Junction, Colo., Bill Lancaster and spouse, Laura of Rangely, Colo., Ron Lancaster and spouse, Nancy of Delta, Colo., Rebecca Ryberg and spouse, Scott of Denver, Colo., Debra Lancaster of Grand Junction, Colo., Roy Lancaster Jr. of Denver, Colo., Hazel Lovato and spouse, Joe of Denver, Colo., Libby Stafford and spouse, Jr. of Cortez, Mary Moore and spouse, Tony of Alamosa, Colo., Joanne Carter of Grand Junction, Colo., Joe Lancaster and spouse, Jennifer of Delta, Colo., David Lancaster of Delta, Colo., and Liza Peoples and spouse, Alex of Castle Rock, Colo.; and by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
