PATRICIA JEAN CLARK "PAT" HUSKEY Funeral services for Dove Creek resident Patricia Jean Clark "Pat" Huskey will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 9 at the Dove Creek First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Dove Creek Cemetery. Pat was born on November 2, 1942 in Meeker, Colo. the daughter of Jack LeRoy and Zona (Harvey) Clark. She passed away in Dove Creek on Monday, April 5, 2010 at the age of 67. Pat married Jerry Huskey in Sedona, Ariz. Active in community affairs, Pat was the first woman elected to the Monticello City Council and that seat was won by write-in ballot. She served in that capacity from 1976-1980. Pat was a member of Soroptomist International and worked hard at fund raising for international service projects. She was instrumental in the development of child care in Dove Creek, and she was a member of the Dove Nest Board for child care. Pat took great pride in her job as county assessor a job that she held for 18 years. In her free time, Pat enjoyed outside activities of camping, four wheeling, and horseback riding. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking and lots of volunteer work. Mostly, though, her greatest joy came from her grandchildren. Surviving Pat are her husband of 33 years, Jerry Huskey of Dove Creek; her children, Becky Heard and husband, Dave of Davis, Calif., Jimi Howell of Monticello, Utah, Travis Randolph and wife, LaRita of Dove Creek, Colo., and Jack Huskey of Montrose, Colo.; and by nine grandchildren, Mike Heard, Erin Stalker, Jessica Stalker, Mathew Heard, Rebecca Howell, Levi Randolph, Dalton Randolph, Chance Randolph, and LaRissa Randolph. Also surviving Pat are her siblings, Gwen Rassmusen and husband, Tom of Kingman, Ariz., John Clark and wife, Sheila of Roosevelt, Utah, Gordon Hyde and wife, Susan of Sandy, Utah, Linda Dilley and husband, Norman of Tucson, Ariz., Diane Bradford and husband, David of Blanding, Utah, and Leslie Kelly of Texas. Preceding Pat were her parents, Jack and Zona Clark.
