PATRICIA JANE MCALISTER Graveside services for Dolores resident Patricia Jane McAlister will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 3 at Summit Ridge Cemetery. Pastor Mike Schrogg will officiate. Pat was born April 18, 1937 in Prescott, Ariz. the daughter of Alva Merritt and Perry Inez (Frost) Sims. She passed away on Friday, July 30, 2010 at Southwest Memorial Hospital in Cortez at the age of 73. On May 1, 1959, Pat married Robert R. McAlister in Prescott, Ariz. Pat enjoyed quilting in her free time. When speaking of his wife, Robert said Pat was, "a great homemaker." Surviving Pat are her husband of 51 years, Robert R. McAlister of Dolores; and her children, Patrick McAlister and wife, Sandy of Aurora, Colo., Russell McAlister and wife, Dawn Marie of Loveland, Colo., and Bonnie Ann Bratton and husband, Larry of Kearny, Ariz. Pat also leaves behind six grandchildren; and her siblings, Edith Mahana of Phoenix, Ariz., Karl Sims of Prescott, Ariz., Gene Sims of Clarkdale, Ariz., Mary Collins of Sacramento, Calif., and Barbara Gill of Cortez. She was preceded in death by her parents; and by her brother, Lewis Sims. Memorial contributions may be made in Pat's name to the Cortez Recreation Center.
