Patricia Ann "Pattye" Pennington

PATRICIA ANN “PATTYE” PENNINGTON Memorial services for longtime Cortez resident, Patricia Ann “Pattye” Pennington will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 27 at the Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church. Reverend Vickie Richards-Street will be officiating. Pattye was born on June 8, 1940 in Flagler, Colo. the daughter of John Archie and Dorra Elizabeth (Laurant) Verhoeff. She passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at her home in Cortez at the age of 65. Pattye was a “hands on” person. She was an exceptional Message Therapist who loved to play the piano, do needlework, paint, and photography. Surviving Pattye are her son, Don Michal Catchings of Milledgeville, Ga.; her life partner, Larry R. Leighton of Cortez; and her sister-in-law, Alberta Verhoeff of Denver, Colo. Preceding her in death were her parents. Memorial contributions can be made in Pattye’s name to Hospice of Montezuma.
