Olive Vessey Hodapp

OLIVE VESSEY HODAPP Memorial services for longtime Cortez resident, Olive Vessey Hodapp will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 14 at the Montezuma Valley Presbyterian Church. Pastors Samuel and Janice Adams will be officiating. A coffee reception will be held in the Fellowship Hall following the services. Olive was born on March 11, 1918 in Lexington, Ky. the daughter of Reverend Oliver M. and Blanche (Vessey) Adams. She passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at her home in Cortez at the age of 86. Olive was a dedicated homemaker, who enjoyed volunteering many hours at the Southwest Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Garden Club, Hospital Auxiliary, and was very involved in the women's club at the Presbyterian Church. Her children and grandchildren were Olive's life. Her daughters, Alice Wilcox and husband, Theodore of Huachuca City, Ariz., and Nancy Coil and husband, Kenneth of Florence, Ariz. survive Olive. She leaves five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren; as well as her siblings, Rowena Miller of Crete, Neb., Frank Adams of Solano Beach, Calif., Donna Ruth Grosshan of Seattle, Wash.; and her sisters-in-laws and brother in law, Phyllis Hendrix of Ohio, Ed Hodapp of Orlando, Fla., and Pauline Hodapp of San Diego, Calif. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Harvey H. Hodapp; and her son, Oliver Lee Hodapp.
