OLGA ALENE JAMES Funeral services for lifelong Montezuma and Dolores Counties resident, Olga Alene James will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 2 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1304 E. Empire in Cortez with Steve Malarchick officiating. Olga will be laid to rest beside her husband in Cortez Cemetery following services. A visitation has been set for Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. to noon at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Olga was born March 4, 1915 to Arza Russel and Maude (Drum) Leslie in Millerville, Mo. She passed away at Southwest Memorial Hospital on December 30, 2007 at the age of 92. Olga came to Colorado in the summer of 1915 with her family; growing up in the Pleasant View area. On November 5, 1932 Olga married Lois James. To this union five children were born. She was a stay at home mom. Olga dedicated her life to Jehovah God in 1954, and spent the rest of her life talking to and studying the Bible with people that were interested in the Bible. Olga spent the last seven years at Golden Years Retirement Home in Cortez. Olga is survived by her daughters, Vergie Ayers and husband, Ray of Cortez, Nadia Lei and husband, Harvey of Yuma, Ariz., and Susan Aarons and husband, Dennis of Egnar, Colo.; and 18 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lois James; sons, Ivan James and Loyd James; one grandson and one great grandson; her parents; her brothers, Orval Leslie and Luther Leslie; and her sisters, Thelma James and her twin sister, Alma Duran.
