Olan S. Smith

OLAN S. SMITH Memorial services for Cortez resident, Olan S. Smith will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, November 13 at Rock Springs Church, 32233 Highway 160, Cortez. Olan was born August 6, 1933 in Goree, Texas. He passed away on Monday, November 10, 2008 at Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 75. An avid fisherman and hunter, Olan enjoyed the outdoors. Surviving Olan are his wife of 55 years, Jerry Smith of Cortez; five children, David Smith of Chino Hills, Calif., Richard Smith and Larry Smith of Las Vegas, Nev., Ron Smith of Farmington, N.M., and Robin Haggard of Cortez; and by six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
