Ocean Christopher Rodd

Ocean Christopher Rodd was born on June 6, 1997. Ocean was one of a kind, unique like his name. He was a great son, grandson, brother, nephew, father, boyfriend, and friend. Ocean was loved by so many. From a young age he always showed no fear and was ready to do anything. Ocean had a passion for drawing and was always doodling. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed riding bicycles, skating, snowboarding, and spending time with his family off-roading. When he wasn’t outside you could always find him playing his video games. Ocean will truly be missed by so many.
The sudden and unexpected loss has left the family completely heartbroken, a life taken too soon. Ocean’s memory will live on in the eyes of his little boy, Karston. At only one year old, we all know he has a bright future.
Ocean is survived by his father, James “Randy” Rodd (Kiley) of Cortez, CO; his mother, Jamie Stewart-Rodd of Cottonwood, AZ; his grandparents Jim and Marian Rodd of Cortez, CO, and Jeff and Jennifer Stewart of Cortez, CO; his son, Karston Rodd of Cortez, CO; his siblings, Cade Gallimore (Gabby) of Cortez, CO and Chace Gallimore (Autumn) of Cortez, CO; his aunt and uncle, Cindie Miller (Shawn) of Cortez, CO, and Jason Stewart; his nephew, Logan Gallimore; and numerous great-aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also survived by the love of his life, Kristie Jaramillo. He is preceded in death by his great grandparents, L.E. and Jimmie Rodd; and his cousin, Cameron Miller.
Graveside Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Cortez Cemetery, followed by a gathering at the American Legion in Cortez, CO. A memorial fund has been set up at First Southwest Bank in Cortez Colorado, under his name, and a Go Fund Me account. All funds will be reserved for Ocean’s son Karston and will be used for his support and education.
