Norman Eugene "Gene" Lynn

Norman Eugene Lynn, a long-time resident of Nucla, CO passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021 peacefully at his home. Born February 7, 1938 in Burlington, CO “Gene” as he was known by all, was the first born and only son of six children born to David Ebert Lynn and Nelle Elizabeth (Smith) Lynn.
Gene lived the longest portion of his adult life predominantly in the western slope of Colorado, where he was an avid outdoorsman, musician and artisan. The latter years of his life were spent sharing his humor and many talents with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who quickly became his greatest joys, aside from his son and best friend, Tom.
Surviving Gene are his sisters, Juanita Adams of Trinidad CO, and Sharon Arrington; his five children, Albert Ruckman (Ruth) of Dayton, TN, David Reeves (Malia) of Bakersfield, CA, Thomas Lynn of Nucla, CO, Tammy McMinn (Scott) of Bloomfield, NM, and Jodi Skees of Grand Junction, CO; as well as 15 Grandchildren, and 17 Great-grandchildren. Gene was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 38 years, Lucille Elaine (Baker) Lynn; his parents; three sisters, Margaret Lynn, Eva Ann Lynn, Laveta Morton; and his granddaughter, Lola Louise Ruckman.
