NORMA JEAN HARRISON Funeral services for longtime Cortez resident, Norma Jean Harrison will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 3, at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at the Cortez Cemetery. A visitation has been scheduled for Friday morning from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. Norma was born on February 1, 1928 in Mount Vernon, Ill., the daughter of Lofton and Florence May (Scott) McClure. She passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at the Vista Grande Nursing Home at the age of 78. The majority Norma’s working career was spent at Superior Oil where she devoted 20 years of her life. In her spare time she like to garden, knit, and put together jigsaw puzzles. Surviving Norma are her children, Becky Marshall and husband, Joe of Isanti, Minn., Bruce Harrison and Dottie Banks, and Brad Harrison and wife, Fran, all of Cortez. She also leaves behind a sister, Wanda Turrentine of Mount Vernon, Ill.; ten grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceding Norma in death were her parents; her husband, Donald Junior Harrison; and three sisters. Memorial contributions may be made in Norma’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 701 Camino del Rio, Durango, Colo., 81301.
