Nona McGuire

Nona McGuire

  Nona McGuire was born January 10, 1927 in Kanab, Utah, the daughter of Ezra and Eliza Isabell (Averett) Boren. She passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 in Dolores, CO. at her residence at the age of 97. 

 Nona enjoyed camping, fishing, baking, craft fairs, crocheting, sewing, puzzles and gardening; especially her flower beds. She met and married the love of her life in 1946 in Ely, NV. They started their family in Utah and later ended up in Colorado; where they decided to settle down. 

 Surviving Nona are her children; William L. McGuire of Bedrock, CO, Janet Perry (Lester) of Evanston, WY, Randy McGuire (Cathy) of Dolores, CO, Kaori Powers (Cory) of Evanston, WY; by her 20 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren; and her sibling Verl Boren (Jan) of Bedrock, CO. 

 Nona was proceeded in death by her parents; her spouse, William N McGuire; her siblings Ferrell Boren, Lowell Pendleton, Rena Boren and Lula Boren; and her children Shirley Boren, Tiny McGuire, and  Daniel McGuire.
