NILA MAE POFF Funeral services for former Cortez resident, Nila Mae Poff will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 19 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Summit Ridge Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday evening from 4 to 6 p.m. Nila Mae Poff, 82, of Hudson, Colorado, died on December 14, 2008 at her home. She was born on April 1, 1926 in Cushing, Okalahoma to James A. Hemphill and Rebecca C. (Hodson) Hemphill. She attended school in Cushing, Oklahoma. Nila married Leo L. Poff on November 2, 1943 in Dove Creek, Colorado. Nila had lived in Hudson for the last five years. Before moving to Hudson, she lived in the Cortez area for the majority of her life where she farmed and ranched. She worked her entire life on the farm raising her family of five children. Nila is survived by her daughters, Sue (Pat) Keary of Thornton, CO, Karen (Joe) Gemots of Ingrim, TX, Paula (Herb) Webb of Hudson, CO and Marty Hecth of Summer Ridge, CO; son, Jim Poff of Summer Ridge, CO; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by four brothers. Memorial contributions may be made in Nila's memory to Heartland Home Health Care and Hospice, 2655 W. Midway, Broomfield, Colo. 80020
