NICKY PETE “NICK” JOHNSON Funeral services for Nicky Pete “Nick” Johnson will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 1 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Nick was born on July 31, 1963 in Cortez, the son of Larry Earl “Pete” and Elaine Louise (Boren) Johnson. He passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 in Apache Junction, Ariz. at the age of 43. At the age of two, Nick and his family moved to Tulsa, Okla. He enjoyed writing poetry and playing the guitar. Those surviving Nick are his father, Larry “Pete” Johnson of Tulsa, Okla.; his grandmother, Mary Margaret Johnson of Mancos; and his sister, Michelle Crow of Broken Arrow, Okla. Nick was preceded in death by his mother, Elaine Johnson; and his grandparents, William Earl Johnson, Mary Boren and Alfred Boren.
