NEVA WILSON SEGO BOLTON Funeral services for Neva Wilson Sego Bolton will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 7 at the Cortez Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Empire Street. Interment will be held at the Cortez Cemetery. Neva was born on March 10, 1920 in Ellington, Mo. to Riley Lenoah and Cordelia Moriah (Johnson) Wilson. She passed away on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004 at her home in Cortez at the age of 84. Neva and her twin sister, Eva were the seventh and eighth children of 12. Their mother passed away when the girls were only ten years old. With this the girls still enjoyed a happy childhood. Neva married her first husband, Raymond Rexford Sego on May 20, 1938 in Cortez. With this union fourteen children were born. Neva was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints soon after her marriage to Mr. Sego. After 23 years of marriage Mr. Sego and Neva were divorced. On Sept. 8, 1961 Neva married her second husband, James Paul Bolton. Two daughters were born to this union. On Nov. 11, 1976 Mr. Bolton passed away. Neva spent her life nurturing her children. She enjoyed cooking and caring for her family with whatever means she had. Later she found time to do family genealogy. She also enjoyed reading scriptures each day. Neva’s faith was strong and she clung to it. Surviving Neva were her children, Vera Jean of Cortez, Sharon Gaye Gubler of Orem, Utah, Raymond Francis of Salt Lake City, Utah, Rodney Rexford of Cortez, Mayonne Gregory of Salem, Mo., Daniel of Fountain Green, Utah, Marilee of Salt Lake City, Utah, David of Blanchard, Ida., Radine Ackland of Lac Du Flambeau, Wisc., Steven of Rathdrum, Ida., Neva Ann Richards, and Patricia Louise Young; and 48 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; as well as her sisters, Eva, and Melba Ruth. She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, James Paul Bolton; her children, Barbara Ann Bailey, John Wilson, Vontella, and Michael; her siblings, Clyde, Gladys, Woodrow, Olive, Jewell, Paul, Riley and Jane Marie; as well as her ex-husband, Raymond Rexford Sego.
