NELDA RUTH WALLACE Nelda Ruth Wallace was born on December 17, 1919 in Gunnison, Colo. the daughter of Harry and Margaret (Mendenhall) Dunn. She passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Vista Grande Inn. Nelda was 95 years old. After graduating from Western State College with her teaching degree, Nelda became a Second Grade Teacher. She taught for 10 years. In 1940 at Mesa Verde National Park, Nelda married William Franklin Wallace. She enjoyed playing bridge, golfing, hiking and crafting. Surviving Nelda are her children, Linda Isaman of Dolores, and Jerrie Matthews of Rico; her three grandchildren, Dean Mathews and wife, Jeanie of Dolores, Stephanie Brown and husband, Lloyd of Bethesda, Md., and Lucas Isaman and wife, Tania of Dolores; and six great grandchildren. She leaves behind her siblings, Joe Yeomans of Powderhorne, Colo., Marian Ashwood of Gunnison, Colo., and Helen Noyes of Scottsdale, Ariz. Preceding her in death are her parents, Harry and Margaret Dunn; her husband, William Wallace; and her sisters, Jane Bishop and Betty Hilsinger. Cremation has taken place, and there will be no services at this time. Memorial contributions can be made in Nelda Ruth Wallace's name to Hospice of Montezuma, P.O.
