NATHAN DUANE "NATE" INCE Graveside services for lifelong area resident Nathan Duane "Nate" Ince will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 1 at the Lebanon Cemetery. Pastor Lyle Ekleberry will officiate. Nate was born June 19, 1921 in Cortez the son of Claude "Bud" and Ethal (Dickerson) Ince. He passed away at Southwest Memorial Hospital on Sunday, June 29, 2008 at the age of 87. An avid outdoorsman, Nate loved time spent hiking and exploring. He was a private man and very talented. Surviving Nate are his children, Shirley Nunn and husband, Les of Dolores, Charyl Swain of Tennessee, Neeta Mahaffey and husband, Jerry of Pleasant View, Richard Bellem of California, Pam Orth and husband, Karl of Craig, Colo., Becky Young and husband, Mike of Dove Creek, Thursha Jackson and husband, Kirk of Fairbanks, Alaska, Linda Conkling of Cortez, and Mike Ince of Cortez; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; his sister, Edith Chappell of Cortez; and his brother, Vern Ince and wife, Diana of Lewis, Colo. Nate was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Elaine Lancaster, Carson Ince, and Barbara Remer.
