NATHAN CHARLES BENALLY

  Funeral services for Nathan Charles Benally will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery.

  Nathan was born April 29, 1985 in Durango, Colo. the son of Lee Hugh and Viola Johanna (Denetclaw) Benally. He passed away at his Salt Lake City, Utah residence on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at the age of 38.

  Surviving Nathan are his parents, Lee Benally and Viola Denetclaw-Benally of Cortez; his daughter, Olivia Benally of West Valley, Utah; his siblings, Vladimir Benally of Durango, Colo., Eric Benally of Durango, Colo., Vanessa Benally (Herb Clark) of Clearfield, Utah, and Gavin Benally of Cortez, Colo.; his ex-wife, Tayla Benally of West Valley, Utah; by five nephews and two nieces; and by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. Nathan was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Esther Benally and Dorothy Smith-Jaramillo.
