NANETTE LANER YAZZIE

  Funeral services for Nanette Laner Yazzie will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 21, 2023 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Towaoc Cemetery.

  Nanette was born September 3, 1972 in Cortez the daughter of Floyd Laner Sr. and Mary Sue Bowman. She passed away at her Towaoc residence on Monday, April 17, 2023 at the age of 50.

  Nanette is survived by her mother, Mary Sue Bowman of Albuquerque, N.M.; her adoptive mother, Melanie Nelson of Texas; by her children, Benito Cuthair of Towaoc, Elizabeth Nelson of Aztec, N.M., and Dustin Fenton of Elkridge, Utah; by her siblings, Floyd Laner Jr. of Towaoc, Vincent Laner (Jacqueline) of Towaoc, James Levi of Albuquerque, N.M., Lambert Bowman (Raquel Guillen) of Edgewood, N.M., Sonya Bowman of Albuquerque, N.M., and Debbie Nelson of Texas; by two grandchildren; and by her boyfriend, Gordon Yazzie of Chinle, Ariz. Nanette was preceded in death by her father; her adoptive father, Ed Dorsey; and by her siblings, Flora Laner, Troy Laner, Tina Laner, and Jerri Nelson.
