Nancy Ann Lee

Nancy Ann Lee (Simmons), 94, of Dolores passed away peacefully at home on 29 August, 2023. Mrs. Lee was comforted in her passing by her son, Victor. 

Mrs. Lee was born on 29 January, 1929 in Dolores, Colorado.  Survivors include her sister-in-law Maxine Lee Miller, Mrs. Lee’s son Victor, son Paul and his wife Kathy, grandchildren Jeffrey, Stephanie, and Jeremy, great grandchildren Gavin, Alexis, Abigail, Macy, Evelyne, and Mellody, son Kenneth and his wife Wendy, grandchildren Christopher and Katherine, and daughter Laurie and her husband Scott. 

Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her husband, Allen W. Lee, and son Russell G. Lee. 

Mrs. Lee graduated from Dolores high school in 1947 as valedictorian and attended the Colorado State College of Education, now known as the University of Northern Colorado, at Greeley the following year.  Nancy and Allen married in June of 1948 in Fort Collins, Colorado and then moved to Searcy, Arkansas where Victor was born.  Later, Nancy and Allen moved to Colorado Springs where they resided for more than 30 years and raised their family.  Nancy and Allen moved back to Dolores in 1983 and enjoyed an active retirement.
