NANCY JEAN TYLER Longtime Dolores resident, Nancy Jean Tyler was born on October 2, 1921 in Roundup, Mont. the daughter of Oscar and Myrtle (Barr) Goepel. She passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2005 at the Vista Grande Nursing Home in Cortez at the age of 84. Jean was a Postmaster for the United States Post Office in Mexican Hat, Utah. Surviving Jean were her daughter, Judith Neff of Kirtland, N.M.; her grandchildren, Tyler and Neff and wife, Liz of Kirtland, N.M., Nancy Hubbard and husband, Vince of Mescalero, N.M., Penny Hall and husband, Jobal of Cortez, Becky Courvoisier and husband, Anthony of Cortez, Edmund Neff and wife, Shannon of Kirtland, N.M., Jennifer Evaro and husband, Armando of Belen, N.M.; as well as 12 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Edmund Andrew Tyler; and her daughter, Janice Scott. No services have been scheduled at this time.
