MYRON RAUH 'M.R.' KRUSE Memorial services for lifelong Cortez resident Myron Rauh 'M.R.' Kruse will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 15 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. M.R. was born on September 8, 1930 in Cortez, the son of Myron Reed and Sada (Rauh) Kruse. He passed away on Monday, January 29, 2007 at his residence at the age of 76. Raised in the Lakeview area, M.R. attended Lakeview School through 8th grade and graduated from M-CHS in 1950. It was noted beside his graduation photo 'the most willing worker we know'. For many years M.R. sold insurance for the Rauh Agency with his brother, Val. After the closure of the insurance company, M.R. was hired by Bob Leighton and his sons at Notah Dineh working as night security and maintenance. When Notah Dineh moved to its Main Street location, security personel was no longer needed, but M.R. made the move into a new position as Greeter. Those that had the good fortune of knowing M.R. remember him as cheerful and positive, bringing a smile to those that he encountered. He leaves behind a host of friends. A memorial fund has been established in memory of M.R. Kruse at the Citizens State Bank of Cortez.
