Mona Kay Hill

MONA KAY HILL Mona Kay Hill was born August 15, 1946 in Wichita, Kans. the daughter of Marcel Kennith and Bessie (Pierson) Singleton. She passed away at Southwest Memorial Hospital on Monday, May 24, 2010 at the age of 63. Mona married Dean F. Hill in Boulder, Colo. in 1966. Together they enjoyed 44 years of marriage. Mona was a member of Colorado Field Ornithologists and was a lover of local and natural histories, particularly Anasazi, pioneer, animal and plant history. She loved time spent reading and she gave freely of her time volunteering at Lewis Arriola School and at Mesa Verde National Park. Surviving Mona are her husband, Dean Hill of Cortez; her children, Christopher Robert Hill of Moab, Utah, and Elizabeth Ann Kattman and husband, John of Denver, Colo.; three grandchildren, Cassius and Juniper Hill of Moore, Okla., and Madeliene Kattman of Denver, Colo.; and by her siblings, Marvin Singleton of Nelson, British Columbia, Donald Singleton and wife, Sandy of Houston, Tex., and Betty Gerhard of Purcell, Okla. Preceding Mona in death were her parents; and a brother, Scott Singleton. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mona Hill with: John W.
