Milton Eddie 'Mike' Hunt

On Friday August 27, 2021, Milton (Mike) Eddie Hunt, loving husband and father of three children, passed away at the age of 75. Milton (Mike) was born on November 4, 1945 in Post, Texas to Eddie and Mary Ellen (Reno) Hunt. On March 9, 1968 he married the love of his life, Donna Jo Grigry. They raised two sons, Sam and Paul, and one daughter, Rachel.
Being an avid fisherman, hunter, and outdoorsman, Milton moved from Texas to Mancos, Colorado in 1983 and has remained ever since.
Both family and friends were drawn to his big heart, work ethic, and contagious sense of humor, but always on the lookout for his jokes and pranks. His kindness and compassion welcomed many friends and family to share his home when down on their luck. His friendly heart and giving spirit will be greatly missed. Milton was preceded in death by his father, Eddie, his mother, Mary Ellen, and his brothers and sister, Donald, Charlie, Darrell, Joyce, Sammy, and Jack. He is survived by his wife, Donna, his three children Sam, Paul, and Rachel, eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on October 23, 2021 at the Mesa Trails Cowboy Church, 281 W. Menefee St., Mancos, CO 81328. Refreshments will follow services. To remember Mike, the family requests donations be made to the Mesa Trails Cowboy Church at mesatrails.com.
